给侄女翻译简历
偶侄女今年研究生毕业，找上门来让我给翻译中文简历。
侄女从小看着长大的，虽然这几年没见了，可一直还关心着，也非常看好她。所以这个任务当仁不让的接下来。翻译这个东西需要对两种语言都比较精通，尤其是对要翻译过去的语言。英翻中我还比较有感觉，这个中翻英可能只比谷歌机器人强点有限。翻译要“信达雅”，不过估计是给中国人看的，能做到“信”字应该就够了。
关键打开简历一看，我的姥姥啊。我知道偶侄女勤工俭学，课外活动多多，可是还是没有准备好。一看她在学期间担任过社团团长好几个，每年暑假都有实习，平时上学还到处打工，光这些就写了满满登登五页半，每页都列的密密麻麻的大项小项。比起她，我大学算都是玩闹过来的。
谁告诉我“光棍节”咋翻译啊？Bright(or Bare) Stick Festival?
啧啧，连侄女都研究生毕业了！

看来熊猫当年是携夫人一起漂洋过海的，不像我，当年在这边是参加了几次Bachelor party的，因此类推，Bachelor Festival也就好想了。
爱尔兰还真有个国际光棍节：

傻翻的话，文艺是literature and arts，青年是youth。。。

楼上这可是难为我啊！这种没有对应概念的词不好翻啊。按照字面的意思直译出来，看了以后仍然是不知所云。这种词干脆做为外来语引进到英语中得了。就像“知识分子”（Intelligentsia）是俄语的外来语一样。
